As we Marsify Earth, software engineer Earthifies Mars

Software engineer Kevin Gill generated these images of Mars as a water planet, one with its own Atlantis adrift in a vast sea, to show what Mars might’ve looked like in life-filled days gone by.  According to Mission Blue founder, Sylvia Earle, “We are “Marsifying” earth, turning the blue planet into something that is less hospitable to our species.”

Gill said he made educated guesses based on his knowledge, and that the images are not a scientifically accurate portrayal of the red planet – but they are still interesting food for thought. By protecting our natural systems now, we can keep our beautiful blue planet blue for future generations.
